Best Answer: Can I ask you something... Why do you need to change an image to CMYK? Jump to Installing manually. Download page, unpack it and issue the following commands: make sudo make install. If you do not have sudo on your system, you can build like this: make su # Enter root password make install. Free credits generator imvu. When you start Gimp the Separate+ will be reachable through Image > Separate menu. Jump to Windows - On Windows, go to the folder GIMP is installed in (usually somewhere in Program Files). Once in the GIMP's main folder navigate to lib gimp *version* where as *version* represents the version of The Gimp. Then double click the 'plug-ins' folder. Not all plugins will run in Windows if the OS is 64bit. If you have an RGB image that you want published, and you give it to your printer, it takes them no more than a few seconds to convert it to CMYK. Just make sure you give them an image saved with an sRGB colour profile. Most digital printing processes don't even need a CMYK file, in fact in most cases an RGB file is preferred. If it's for lithographic printing (or any process requiring separations), then give your printer an sRGB TIFF. Then tell them to get on with it, and tell them you know it only takes a few seconds to convert to CMYK, so you won't be expecting any extra charges to be applied. If they come back with some smart comment, find a better printers who won't try to rip you off and bamboozle you with 'techy' excuses. Just to let you know how simple it is, they open the image in Photoshop, hit Image > Mode > CMYK and save the image.
